President Raji Cautions Stakeholders
LFA President Mustapha Raji has strongly cautioned stakeholders and football administrators to be stay away from wrongly insulting women.
Raji told club presidents and general secretaries attending a two-day Football Administrator Course on Wednesday, 9 October that their utterances should represent their institution, person, and society.
The president’s comment at the launch of a Football Administrator Course has come following outlandish remarks made recently in one of the football chat rooms directed to a female football administrator.
“As football administrators, we have a responsibility to our clubs, people, and society. In this light, I stand tall against those who criticize women, and those who insult women publicly, and we must desist.
“It’s a strong message I want to send out there because, as professional football administrators, we need to serve as leaders and role models to young ones coming after us,” Raji bemoaned.
The president pled with football administrators to choose their wordings tactfully so that they reflect the image of their clubs, their person, and society.
Making a brief remark at the opening of the course, Foitball Administrator Andy Quamie advised participants to take the training very seriously because knowledge gain is a plus.
“My advice to you is that you should be willing to listen and make inquiries because knowledge gained is a plus.
“After this training, club presidents won’t be overly occupied with doing everything while other appointed officials sit doing nothing in the club, Minister Quamie said.
Lead facilitator Cllr. Izetta Wesley will be assisted by Abraham Sheriff, Atty. Benedict Yarsiah, Oliver Rouhana, S. Yaba Browne, and others for the two-day training
