FIFA Talent Coach Ammy Ninje Begins Work in Liberia
Following his arrival in Liberia on 18 November, FIFA Talent Coach Ammy Ninje has hit the ground running.
After meeting with officials from the Liberia Football Association’s technical department and youth national team coaches, Coach Ninje began his hands-on training sessions with the U15 national team at the Blue Field.
Ninje’s arrival follows an assessment by a FIFA delegation, led by Selvey Roy Dean, Head of the FIFA Talent Coach Department, and Ousmane Savadogo, Regional Technical Director for West Africa, to evaluate the current progress and identify areas for improvement in the Talent Development Scheme (TDS) in Liberia.
Ninje, a UEFA A License coach, was selected by FIFA and assigned to Liberia as part of the FIFA TDS. FIFA talent coaches are assigned to each Member Association, where they work with local stakeholders to develop a domestic coaching network with the goal to ensure that all TDS academies use a uniform coaching philosophy and methodology.
Ninje, a former Technical Director of the Tanzania Football Association and former Academy Coach at Hull City in England, brings a wealth of international experience and innovative coaching techniques.
His work will not only guide local youth coaches but also focus on enhancing the abilities of the U15 national team players and assist in the building of the U17 national team.
This latest development is a significant step in strengthening grassroots football in Liberia, ensuring that future generations possess the skills, knowledge, and opportunities to succeed on the global stage.
