LFA Imposes $10K USD Fine on Jubilee FC for Submission of Fake Business Registration Document

The Liberia Football Association (LFA) has imposed a $10,000 (ten thousand Us
dollars) fine on Jubilee FC following the discovery that the club submitted a fraudulent
Business Registration document to the LFA.

This penalty comes after an investigation into the club’s documentation, which was
found to be in violation of the Rules and Regulations of the LFA.

In a communication sent to Jubilee FC on January 2, 2025, the LFA stated: “This action
constitutes a clear violation of the approved Club Licensing Book of Sanctions and the
Rules and Regulations governing our association. Consequently, due to this violation
and in accordance with the stipulations outlined in the Book of Sanctions, we hereby
impose a financial penalty of $10,000.00 (ten thousand US dollars) on Jubilee FC.”

The discovery was made as part of a routine document verification process, where the
LFA randomly sampled documents from 12 clubs and sent them to the Liberia Business
Registry (LBR) for confirmation and authentication.

Jubilee FC is required to pay the fine within seven (7) days from the date of the
notification. Failure to comply with this directive may lead to further disciplinary
measures, including a potential suspension from participation in league activities.
The LFA remains committed to ensuring that all clubs adhere to the established
standards and regulations, and will continue to uphold the integrity of the competition.
