LFA First Instant Board Certifies Three Clubs for CAF Competitions
The First Instant Board, the committee under the LFA that certifies club participation in the league has resolved to certify Watanga, Paynesville, and Determine Girls to participate in the CAF competitions for the 2024/25 season.
The decision was reached in a meeting convened by Cllr Jacob Dayrell and team on Thursday, 20 June following a review of the minimum club licensing requirements enshrined in CAF Licensing Online Platform (CLOP).
Watanga and Determine Girls won the rights to participate in Africa’s premier club competitions (male and female) following their championship crown of the 2023/24 league seasons.
Meanwhile, Paynesville will play for the first time in CAF Confederations Cup after a very late goal from substitute Lawrence Kumeh sunk I.E in the 2024 Orange Cup finals
